Jim joined BGP shortly after the formation of the company in 1987 and is a Chartered Engineer as well as a Member of The Institution of Civil Engineers.
As part of the design and subsequently management team, he has been instrumental in the successful development of the business into one of the largest independent consultancy practices in the North East, with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. He has been responsible for the implementation and co-ordination of the Civil & Structural engineering services delivery within the practice.
Jim is a hands on part of the design team, involved in the design meetings, preparation of the project briefs, agreeing program delivery, resources and monitoring of the performance and service requirements. As a Chartered Civil Engineer he is personally involved in many projects directly, contributing the experience of his extensive knowledge of public buildings, leisure facilities, retail, commercial, education, building structures, roads and drainage.
