BGP was responsible for the design and detailing of the 27,000 square foot hanger along with the drainage and external works. The hanger, built adjacent to the main passenger terminal at Teesside International Airport, will be used to re-paint aircraft. Airbourne Colours holds a prominent position within the industry which provides re-painting services to many of the major passenger airlines including Jet 2, easyjet, Loganair, Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines. The founder and managing director of the company, Steve Derbyshire, grew up in the area and is said to be proud that he’s been able to return to his roots investing in the area, providing jobs and contributing to the airport’s regeneration.
